Special K: Day 4

Breakfast: Special K cereal w/ soy milk

Lunch:  Veggie burger, lettuce, tomato, onion, green beans, pease, and some potatoes

Snack: quaker chewy granola bar

Dinner: Special K cereal w/ soy milk, banana

*I wore my “skinnier” jeans out today, and my friend said they looked great on me :D

Special K: Day 3

Breakfast: Special K cereal, soy milk, banana

Lunch:  Pasta fagiole (soup), tomato wrap w/ lettuce, tomato, onion, and honey mustard

Dinner:  Special K cereal, soy milk, banana

*While I was at tango today I noticed that my jeans were super baggy…really big.  So, when I got home, I tried on some of my “skinnier” jeans (i.e. the jeans that fit me 1 year ago).  They are a tad tight, but THEY FIT!!!  Huzzah!  I love what tango, bellydance, and all of the walking I’ve been doing have done to my body.

Special K: Day 2

Breakfast: Special K cereal, soy milk, egg w/ soysauce

Lunch:  spinach wrap with lettuce, tomato, onion, and honey mustard; minestrone soup, broccoli, some french fries (what?  really C?  p.s. it’s the first time I’ve had them all year…and there were only a few), mixed fruit (cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon)

Dinner: 2 bowls of Special K cereal, soy milk

WIW and Special K Day 1

WIW:  174.6 lb

Special K:  I woke up late so I had a Quaker Granola Bar as I was running to class.  (I had lunch an hour after that so I just needed to have something in my stomach.)

Lunch:  spinach wrap with lettuce, tomato, onion, american cheese, and honey mustard.  bowl of soup

2nd meal: Special K fruit and yogurt cereal w/ soy milk and a yoplait yogurt

3rd meal:  Special K cereal w/ soy milk, apple, egg w/ onion

Special K Challenge

Lately my eating habits have taken a turn for the worse.  I tend to get into repetitive habits where I only want to eat the same thing for a meal (or snack) over and over again.  And campus food sucks… a lot.  Anyway, my point is that I need to break some habits.  So, I decided to do the Special K Challenge for two weeks.

I decided to do this challenge because I want to get back into the swing of eating a normal amount of food during the day (i.e. eliminating emotional eating/ smaller portion sizes).  Also, I need an easy button for food right now.  Having two meals already planned means less decisions for me to make which is very welcomed right now (exams, assignments, STRESS).

A one-sided love f*cking sucks.

I probably won’t post much about this, but I just needed to get that out there right now.

Food: 9/18

Breakfast: maple sugar oatmeal, 120 cals of yum

Lunch: attempted to make eggs in my rice cooker…it was difficult (time consuming) but they turned out alright.  eggs, onions, fake chicken patty, broccoli

Snack: yogurt

Dinner: grilled cheese sandwich, lettuce, tomato, watermelon, cantaloupe

Shades of Grey

I’ve just been so listless today…after getting over the feelings of being extremely fat and uncomfortable in my clothes (a post on this coming soon).

I mean, normally when I think about my crush I get really excited and want to talk to him or text him, but today it felt as if doing so would take way too much effort.

Also, a group of therapy dogs come to my campus once a week.  It’s normally the highlight of my week, but today I just felt so uninterested, tired, and I was in pain (I have chronic pain in my arms). I ended up going to bed at 7pm and sleeping for 2 1/2 hours.

I don’t know…it just feels as if everything has been gray lately, like there’s no contrast, no happy or sad, just a steady, listless gray.

p.s. On a happier note, I adore Shades of Grey by Billy Joel.

p.p.s. “Grey” always looks like it’s spelled wrong to me, so I typically write it as “gray” unless it’s a title or something.

Food: Days 16 and 17

Day 16 (9/13/10)

Breakfast: banana, apple
Lunch: pasta w/ tomato sauce, mixed veggies
Dinner: I tried to eat a sweet potato, but I just couldn’t eat it, so I had a few of Annie’s Bunny Grahams and some soy milk.

Day 17 (9/14/10)

Breakfast: granola bar

Lunch: I tried to eat, but I just felt bloated and icky (so descriptive haha). I ate one piece of the vegetable fajita and 1/2 of the other piece. I also had the salad (lettuce, tomato) and some watermelon.

Dinner: I had some disgusting mac and cheese. Absolutely horrible, but I ate it so I would have some food in my stomach. Also had some applesauce.
Snack: apple w/ peanut butter
